Euromillions Basketball League: Antwerp will play against Mons, Oostende awaits his opponent

Oostende won Friday at the Spiroudome (51-85) for the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Euromillions Basket League playoffs which allows him to win his ticket for the semi-finals. Same thing for Antwerp at Leuven (62-92) and Mons who won in Mechelen (70-85). The last game of the evening saw Limburg United win at home against Aalst (86-81) to get a third leg on Sunday in Aalst.

At Charleroi, Oostende took an early lead 11-38 and 19-46 at half-time. The reigning champions then checked back from the locker room to win (51-85) and punch their ticket for the semi-finals of the playoffs. Pierre-Antoine Gillet scored 15 points, Haris Bratanovic 11. For Charleroi, Noah Fogang scored 24 points.

Antwerp easily defeated Leuven (62-92), despite another good performance from Ryan Kriener (22 points). For Antwerp, Phil Cofer had 15 points and Niels Van Den Eynde 14. Mons won at Mechelen. Vedran Bosnic’s team made the difference in the last quarter (10-23) to win (70-85). Arik Smith scored 19 points.

The last game of the evening saw Limburg United defeates Aalst (86-81). Wen Mukubu was the MVP of the night with 25 points and 8 rebounds. The last game of this serie will be played Sunday afternoon in Aalst. The winner of this match will face Oostende in the semi-final. The semi-finals will start on May 26.
