Belgian Cats beat Russia, qualify for semi-final of the EuroBasket Women !

The Belgian Cats have qualified for the semi-finals at the European Championships on Wednesday evening. In Strasbourg, France, the Belgian Cats won 85-83 (HT: 43-37) against Russia. Emma Meesseman was unstoppable with 33 points an 11 rebounds but Julie Allemand scored the game winning shot with 5 seconds to go ! On Saturday, the Cats will play for a place in the final against Serbia or Spain. Belarus will face France in the other semifinal. The entire final phase of the European Championship will be finished in Valencia. Belgium is also certain of participating in the qualifying tournaments for the 2022 World Cup in Australia. That is reserved for the top six of the tournament.
