Belgian Lions: Some changes in the squad
Belgian Lions: Some changes have been announced in the squad to face Lithuania and Czech Republic next week.
Leander Dedroog was already a substitute for Quentin Serron, but 3 others players must withdraw from the squad.
Maxime De Zeeuw just signed a big contract in Israel, he will join his now team. Haris Bratanovic will replace him in the squad. Thomas Akyazili will replace Jonathan Tabu. The veteran point guard injured his knee. Jean Salumu also have a knee injury, he is out and will not be replaced. As you know, Sam Van Rossom (Valencia, Euroleague) and Ismael Bako (ASVEL, Euroleague) are not available.
Belgium defeated Lithuania (86-65) in Mons in February. The Lions defeated Danemark (72-88) also in February.
Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis are also out for Lithuania. Both players wanted to play, but the federation couldn’t reach an agreement with the NBA teams regarding insurances.
