Boukichou joins Spirou Charleroi.

After yet another loss for Spirou Basket Charleroi earlier this afternoon at Okapi Aalstar it became painfully clear that their big men were not living up to the expectations and thus Spirou have attracted a new center in the form of Khalid Boukichou.

Boukichou – who had been without a team after he finished last season at Nancy in the French Pro B – signed a 2-year deal with Charleroi and could already join them for the Europe Cup game against Groningen on Wednesday.

Before Boukichou joined Nancy last season he had been playing for Sigal Prishtina and with them he was selected as the FIBA Europe Cup’s Center of the year. At Prishtina Boukichou averaged 14.0 ppg, 6.3 rpg & 2.3 apg. Definitely the type of numbers that the slumping Spirou (0-5 in EMBL) will need to get out of their current negative spiral.
