Houston sends Russell Westbrook to Washington for John Wall

Houston traded Russell Westbrook to the Wizards for John Wall and a 2023 protected first-round pick.

We already talked several times about the Westbrook situation. The saga is now over. Russell Westbrook will leave the Rockets after only one year in Houston with James Harden. In 57 games with the Rockets, he averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7 assists game. We can now say that the the Harden-Westbrook duo was not as successful as expected. Westbrook will now play for the Wizards, with All-Star Bradley Beal.

John Wall was drafted as the first overall pick by the Washington Wizards in the 2010 NBA draft. Since the beginning of 2019, Wall has been sidelined with multiple injuries. He missed the entire 2019-2020 season after an Achilles injury. In Houston, he will play with with his college teammate at Kentucky in DeMarcus Cousins.
