Second consecutive loss for Andy Van Vliet in the Lithuanian LKL (video)

Although Andy Van Vliet again put down a very strong performance, he couldn’t prevent Siauliai from suffering their second consecutive loss of the season.

In their first home game of the season Siauliai looked pretty solid throughout and managed to put together a maximum lead of 13 points before Pieno Zvaigzdes started chipping away at it in the final quarter.

It remained a close affair in that final quarter and with 7 seconds left in the game Van Vliet put his team in front with the 80-78 score as he went 1/2 from the FT-line. But then it was Canadian forward Manigat who came through in the clutch as he pump-faked his defender out of the way and drained a tough three to give the visitors the 80-81 victory.

Van Vliet had an excellent all-rounded game as he played 33 minutes and scored 12 points (4/10 FG’s, 1/2 FT’s), grabbed 9 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and had 3 steals as well.
