After Klay Thompson’s season-ending injury, the Warriors will acquire Kelly Oubre Jr.

Kelly Oubre Jr was involved in the blockbuster trade for Chris Paul only 3 days ago. OKC will receive the Warriors’ protected 2021 first-round pick in exchange. The Thunder will create a $14.4M trade exception in the trade.

Last season, Kelly Oubre averaged 18.7 points and 6.4 rebounds for Phoenix.

Without Klay Thompson, the Warriors will need a huge season from Stephen Curry to be a contender this season. Oubre will not be the only new player in Golden State. The Warriors drafted James Wiseman in the 2020 NBA Draft.

But it wasn’t the only move from the Thunder. OKC have acquired French center Vincent Poirier from Boston in exchange conditional future second round pick.
