Washington Mystics crowned WNBA champions

They’ve done it!

Emma Meesseman and Kim Mestdagh have become the second and third Belgian players to capture the coveted WNBA Championship trophy (after Wauters did it before them) as last night they helped the Washington Mystics to the 89-78 victory in GAME 5 of a thrilling series.

Meesseman was again a major factor in the win as she recorded 22 pts on 9-13 FG shooting and added 3 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stls & 2 blks in 27 minutes of action. Her performances were more than good enough to also get the WNBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award as she averaged 21.6 ppg in the 2019 WNBA Playoffs.

Huge congratulations to Emma and Kim!
This is simply amazing.
