Jalen Tate records Triple-Double in Leuven’s win at Yoast United

Ever since joining the Leuven Bears in January 2024 lanky 1m98 tall Point Guard Jalen Tate has been on a steady rise after a rocky start, turning into a very solid floor general. Despite still missing 3 key players (Riley, Vanderhaegen & Fulkerson) due to injuries, the Leuven Bears have been dominant in Elite Silver, winning 10 out of their 11 games and Tate most definitely has had something to do with that.

In 10 games in the Silver Elite Tate is so far averaging 18.6 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.6 apg & 2.6 spg in 34.1 mpg. After already coming close to a Triple-Double in the victory at Den Helder on 20/4 where Tate recorded 14 pts, 8 rebs & 11 asts, he has now managed to accomplish the difficult feat in tonight’s win at Yoast United as he finished with 13 pts, 10 rebs & 10 asts in 35 minutes, helping the Leuven Bears to the 60-81 victory, which secures them a place in the Belgian Playoffs.

Tate is only the 5th player in the Belgian First Division to manage this feat since the 2003-’04 season and joins an illustrious group of players like Ian Hanavan, DeAndre Kane, Ivan Maras and Elvir Ovcina.
