Hugh Robertson will not play for Leuven this season, 2 new players to replace him

In April, Leuven announced that Hugh Robertson‘s contract was extended for one more year. But when the Bears were supposed to resume training earlier this month, Robertson was nowhere to be found and he was unreachable. When the Bears finally reached him, he was in Egypt for personal matters. According to HLN, Roberston announced that he was retiring from playing basketball.

The Bears reacted quickly and decided to sign 2 players to replace him.

The first one is Randy Haynes, a 6-4 guard. He played 14 games in Slovenia last season, he averaged 13.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

The second one is Joe Ebondo, a 6-7 forward. Ebondo and Haynes both played with Old Dominion in NCAA. Between 2013 and 2015 for Ebondo, between 2016 and 2018 for Haynes.

With these 2 new additions the roster is now complete with 10 professional players who will be assisted by the Leuven Bears’ youngsters.
