No Champions League this season for Mons-Hainaut
Mons-Hainaut will not be playing in their first ever Champions League competition this season as they lost it 71-86 in the Finals of the Qualifiers against the Danes from Bakken Bears.
Mons got the 5 point lead early in the opening quarter but it would turn out to be their only lead in the entire game as Bakken Bears quickly took control and ran out to a maximum lead of 26 points.
In the final quarter Barnes found his shooting stroke and was able to chip away at the lead but the win for Bakken never came in doubt.
For the second game in a row Arik Smith led Mons with his 21 points, coming off the bench, while Auston Barnes finished with 17 points. The overall best performer for Mons however was again big man Skylar Spencer who recorded 14 pts, 15 rebs, 2 stls & 2 blks.
With this loss Mons-Hainaut will now get picked up in the FIBA Europe Cup of which the Regular Season is scheduled to start on January 6, 2021.
