No Champions League title for Lojeski and AEK

In the bubble in Athens the home-team AEK was unable to get the Champions League title as they dropped it 85-74 against San Pablo Burgos.

AEK got off to an excellent start though and ran out to a 10 point lead at the end of the opening quarter (14-24) before the high-powered offense from Burgos put down a very impressive second quarter in which they scored 35 points (!) to grab the 49-36 lead at the half.

In the second half AEK did what they could to close the gap but Burgos managed to hold on for the 85-74 win and got to raise the Championship trophy for their first Champions League title in their history.

In the losing effort Matt Lojeski did what was expected of him as he knocked down 3 triples on 5 attempts to finish the game with 9 points in a total of 15 minutes played.
