Valencia beats Khimki in Euroleague.

Sam Van Rossom’s Valencia has booked another win in Euroleague this Wednesday. A 88-82 victory against Russian Khimki Moscow.

Valencia started the game strongly, they had a 16 points lead at at the break (45-29).

Despite a big effort from Khimki in the third quarter, Valencia had no real issues holding to his lead (88-82)

Sam Van Rossom recorded 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 26 minutes.

Jaume Ponsarnau, Valencia Basket’ head coach “They changed the rhythm in the second half and forced us to stay focused. It was very important not to lose the concentration in the last quarter and we controlled the situation – even against their great scorers. And we won. We know we have to improve. If we want to stay at the level of the EuroLeague, we have to improve.

With the win, Valencia climbs to 5th place in the standings, with ten wins and six defeats. Khimki remains eighteenth and last. Next Tuesday, Van Rossom and co will travel to Baskonia.
