It’s official, the NBA has approved a plan to restart the season on July 31.
The season will restart with 22 teams at Disney World in Orlando.
The 16 currents playoff teams will be joined by Washington in the East, New Orleans, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Antonio in the West. Each team will play eight regular season games in Orlando before the playoffs. If the No. 9 seed is within four games of the No. 8, a tournament will be held between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds for the spot in playoffs.
It means that 8 teams (Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Golden State and Minnesota) are eliminated.
This plan was approved by a 29-1 vote.
