Michael Jordan donating $100 million to organisations striving for racial equality, social justice and greater access to education

Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand went deep into their pockets in support of several organisations to ensure racial equality, social justice and access to education as they will be donating no less than $100 million over the next 10 years.

Although Jordan has frequently been accused of not using his name and fame to support certain political candidates and/or other organisations throughout his career, his charitable track record actually speaks volumes to the contrary.

Most recently he donated the entire proceeds of the amazing series The Last Dance (estimated between $3 million to $4 million) to various charitable organisations. This comes after he had already donated +$30 million over the past five years to activist projects, including $5 million to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, at least $3 million to hurricane relief, millions to Make-A-Wish and millions to Chicago-area-charities, as well as various Health Clinics.

It’s just another reason why Michael Jordan will forever remain our #GOAT, both on and off the court and we can only hope that his example will be followed by other athletes, politicians, businessmen, and people from all walks of life and of all colors in any way they can.

We’re all human beings who deserve the same opportunities in life without prejudice and should stand together against injustices of any kind !
